Advantages of the Hotel Convencion in Madrid
The location of this hotel is near to a metro station. The price is reasonable. The food is delicious and sweet. The bed is comfortable.
Situación
Bien situado y comunicado con los lugares de interés en Madrid. Personal muy amable en el hotel. Invitacion a una cerveza por reservar en booking. Ducha con mucha presion y agua muy caliente. Todo bien en el hotel. Repetiría y lo recomiendo.
Acceso en coche
Ya había estado otras veces. Me parece un aceptable hotel en una muy buena ubicación en Madrid, si vas en automóvil propio (buen acceso y salida desde m-30).
El personal es correcto y los servicios buenos. Tiene el inconveniente de su magnitud, es muy grande, todo es poco personalizado. Muchas habitaciones dan a patio interior.
Location
I liked the location, close to the center (close to metro, 10 min to city center) and also quiet. There were many restaurants walking distance and a shuttle bus from the airport 200mt from the hotel (it costs only 2€). The room was really nice and with a lot of space and bathroom is big. There is also a concierge right outside the hotel who was really helpful and nice.
The rooms were too warm and check-in was too slow. I also think that breakfast was a bit expensive (11€ extra euro), that's why I didn't buy it, but right outside the hotel there are many bars.
Céntrico
Es un buen hotel, situado muy cerca del parque del retiro, a unos 20 minutos paseando de la puerta del sol y el centro en general. El desayuno era excelente y la habitación muy cómoda. éL único problema es el aparcamiento en pleno centro de Madrid es prácticamente imposible dejar el coche. El hotel dispone de parking al precio de 25 euros el día. Cerca existen parkings algo más económicos.
Situación
Su situación. Boca de metro en O'Donnell. Cercania con zonas de recreo como el retiro.
Convenient
I love the room, its not bad, clean and comfy. The location of the hotel is very convenient to tourist like me. Close to everything, shops everywhere, metro is just a few yards from the hotel, buses were very accessable. So many restaurants to choose from. I will definitely come to this hotel again.
Breakfast!
Breakfast and breakfast staff excellent. Wide variety of options each morning and we were really spoiled by the young lady who served us during our three meals. Bedroom very clean and well serviced each day, bathroom, shower high standard, bed comfortable and overall the hotel proved to be a very good choice for our visit to Madrid.
Bar prices are a little bit expensive.
Liked the staff
I liked the staff. The reception is well informed and polite. The location is excellent, the rooms are cleanand confortable. The only restriction is for the parking (simply horrible), very hard to get in and out
Gigante
El nombre no miente. Es un hotel muy apto para grandes convenciones. Gigantesca recepción, cientos de habitaciones, salones... No muy personal pero la habitación era amplia y cómoda. A 2 minutos de la línea circular del Metro y a 5 del parque del Retiro.
Por poner pegas quizás el cuarto de baño era un poco pequeño. Y decir que la tienda de souvenirs de la recepción está 'démodé' sería
Big family room
The family room is great (two rooms) with lots of space for a family of four.
Mejor la 2ª planta
He estado en la planta 3ª y me gusta más la planta 2ª en la que estuve la vez anterior.
Location
The location is very good as it's close to cultural areas (Prado Museum) as well as to shopping streets, they are both easy accessible by foot. Besides the airport bus stop is in front of the hotel.
There is not free wifi internet connection, it's only available on payment.
Cercano al Palacio de Deportes
Me gustó la cercania al estadio del palacio de los deportes ya que fui exclusivamente a un concierto.
No me gustó que no se fijasen en el cartel que habiamos puesto en la puerta: "por favor, arregle la habitacion" y pensando que era el de "no molesten", cuando llegamos a la noche, estaba sin hacer... Por lo demas, todo bien.
Acceso al hotel en coche
LA UBICACION EXCELENTE Y LA ENTRADA INMEJORABLE SI VIENES POR LA R-3 DE VALENCIA O POR LA M-30. LA ATENCION PERSONAL ESTUPENDA TENIAMOS UNA HABITACION FAMILIAR Y NOS DIERON POR EL MISMO PRECIO DOS HABITACIONES DOBLES COMUNICADAS INTERIORMENTE, PARA ESTAR JUNTO A OTRA FAMILIA QUE VIAJABAMOS JUNTOS. NOS INVITARON A TODOS TAMBIEN A UN REFRESCO EN EL BAR, MUY BUEN DETALLE POR PARTE DEL HOTEL. EL PRECIO TAMBIEN ESTUPENDO, AUNQUE AL SER AGOSTO ESTABA DE OFERTA.
Best value for money option
It was an excellent location and the best value for money option which is very important if you travel for business or when you have a comfortable vacation stay. Although the hotel is quite big it does not impact the level of service and each request is attended immediately. Also the hotel has different locations for the rooms to satisfy the requests of those guests who wish to stay in a quiet corner of facing the street.
